A Uintah County family lost everything in a house fire this week. Uintah County Fire Marshal Jeremy Raymond reports that Vernal Fire received a page for a structure fire on South Vernal Avenue on Tuesday morning around 2:37am. “Crews arrived in 8 minutes to find a trailer with fire coming from the windows,” shares Raymond. “All occupants were out of the home. Crews knocked the fire down from the outside then went inside and were on scene till around 6:00am. An occupant of the home was transported by ambulance with smoke inhalation. The home is a total loss with structure valued at $200,000 and contents of $100,000.” Raymond expressed appreciation to law enforcement, Central Dispatch and Gold Cross for the quick response. Efforts to help the family are being organized and will be shared once details are available.
