Winter Conditions Affect Access At Dinosaur National Monument

by | Dec 7, 2022 | News | 0 comments

Winter is here and that means some changes in access at Dinosaur National Monument. The gate to Josie’s Cabin has been closed for the season but hiking, snowshoeing, and skiing are allowed on the road. All pets must be leashed but can be walked along the road. Harpers Corner is open to the Echo Park turnoff, but winter conditions exist: packed snow and ice, 4×4 vehicles with high clearance are the only vehicles advised. It is currently snowing, and visibility is about 150 feet. Echo Park Road, Yampa Bench Road, and Island Park Road are impassible at this time.
