For over 10 years, the Rotary Club of Vernal has been running Santa’s Community Effort and they are ready for this holiday season. The effort is a supplemental Christmas program to help kids zero to age 16 have a nice Christmas they otherwise would not have had. Applications for families in need are now open. If you are a family in need with kids 16 and younger, pick up an application at the Davis Food and Drug in Vernal. This project is for Uintah County residents with children that live with them. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, November 30th. This is when the Angel Trees get set up at each entrance to Walmart, making it an easy place to pick up a tag, shop, and be ready to drop off the items at Davis Food and Drug. Items for families will be available for pick up December 19th and 20th at the Uintah County building from 5:30pm to 8pm.
