A total of 6,149 ballots were cast as of November 8th in the Duchesne County General Election bringing preliminary voter turnout to 58.8 percent.
In the preliminary Duchesne County School Board District 1 race, Tony Smith received 670 votes and Cicile Marie Rios received 653 votes. In the preliminary District 2 race, Don Busenbark received 643 votes and Michael Hawley received 291 votes. In the preliminary District 3 race, Emilee Wells received 621 votes and Tom Henderson received 420.
The following were on the ballot unopposed, therefore receiving 100 percent of Duchesne County votes: Tracy Killian for Commission Seat A, Chelise Jessen for Clerk-Auditor, and incumbents Gregory Miles for Commission Seat B, Stephen Foote for Duchesne County Attorney, and Travis Tucker for Duchesne County Sheriff.
Election results will be official after canvassing later this month.
