Hotel Vernal Haunt completed its 5th year of fear and fun last week and the numbers are almost in. While the dollar amount has yet to be announced it is looking to be another record breaking year as the Haunt hosted 6785 guests through the Fear Haunt – the highest amount ever! The entire event is operated and organized by volunteers and is a non-profit operation with Charitable Friends of Ashley Valley. Co-chair and organizer Megan Carroll-Munoz shares, “This year’s Haunt was amazing! The business sponsors and the volunteer response was the best year so far. We hosted many first timers and groups from out of town. The Hotel Vernal Haunt has become a wonderful Halloween tradition.” The ticket proceeds will benefit the local charities ‘Be the Light’, ‘Civil Air Patrol’ and ‘Dreams in Motion’. The total donation amount will be announced at a celebration dinner this week.
