Superintendent To Speak at USU Uintah Basin Speaker Series

The Uintah School District Superintendent is the next Utah State University Uintah Basin Speaker Series speaker. His speech is entitled “The American Dream: Why Education is Key in the Pursuit of Happiness”. Superintendent Rick Woodford earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the field of special education, and he completed an administrative/supervisory certification program from Utah State University. In 2000 he served in Star Valley, Wyoming as the district’s Director of Special Services and High School Principal. While there he developed and implemented a highly successful system for secondary inclusion which he shared across nine U.S. cities through a series of “Teacher to Teacher” presentations. He has had a 29 year tenure as an educator and school leader. The series will be Tuesday, November 8th at 7pm in room 101 at USU’s Vernal campus. It is free and will be streamed live on AggieCast.
