The Uintah High Marching Band always leaves everything on the field and they are ready and excited for state competition this weekend. The band was able to perform for local family and friends on Wednesday during Parent Night at the Uintah High stadium just days after securing 5th place at the Davis Cup competition. “Both our music scores and visual scores jumped several placements and we earned a school high score of 72.913,” shares Band Director Brian Gibson. “Our season average puts us in 6th place going into state.” This weekend they will actually hit two competitions: state on Friday and Bands of America Western Regionals on Saturday, both being held in St. George at Crimson Cliffs High School. Like last year Gibson says they are hoping to jump up spots in the competition. All performances will be streamed on the Uintah Bands Facebook page.
