A house fire in Duchesne County was a total loss on Tuesday. Duchesne City Fire Chief
Russell Young shares that the call came in at about 10:40am for a house fire in the area of
33000 West 9000 South about 15 miles west of Duchesne. When crews arrived, the 14’
by 70’ mobile home was fully engulfed and the front half of the trailer had already
collapsed. The homeowners were not at home but there were pets inside that sadly
did not survive. Duchesne Fire served as the primary fire department assisted by
Fruitland Fire and Altamont Fire. The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office responded as
well as Duchesne Ambulance EMS. The home was a total loss.
