The downtown Vernal revitalization projects continue forward and Vernal City Manager Quinn Bennion says all are working together in the efforts to enhance the downtown. The Vernal Avenue rebuild is in the project design phase with Sunrise Engineering hoping to have concept plans to show Vernal City Council and adjacent property owners by early December. The Zions block project has water and sewer lines under construction with service lines to be tied in soon.
The storm drain facility will be constructed over the winter in the parking lot and the parking lot/walkway project will be bid out in January with construction to start in the spring.
Designs are underway for the Cobblerock block project. Vernal City received 30 percent concept plans and are getting feedback from the adjacent property owners. Water and sewer projects that are part of Cobblerock block will start in early spring with the parking lot and walkway project to be bid in January for construction to start in the summer.
