The annual Mayor’s Walk in Vernal is once again being held downtown providing plenty of room for every witch, wizard, superhero, and princess. Vernal City Manager Quinn Bennion shares that the event’s organizing committee has worked to be prepared for the crowds and there is no entry line. Approximately 100 businesses are participating in the event and Highway 40 will be completely shut down from 200 East to 200 West for a safe open zone where the event is taking place. Businesses can still participate by having a booth and just need to come to Cobblerock Park for a booth number. This year’s event will be held Saturday, October 29th from 3 to 5pm downtown.

Roosevelt City is also celebrating Halloween downtown but their event is taking place on Monday, Halloween Day. The Trick-or-Treat Halloween Parade takes place on Main Street and will start with Preschool aged children at 3pm. Children ages 5 to 12 can join the fun at 3:30pm. Remember that all children must be accompanied by an adult.
