Utah’s unemployment remains among the lowest in the country. According to the updated data from the Department of Workforce Services, Utah’s unemployment rate ticked up slightly to 2.1 percent from 2 percent and down from 2.5 percent one year ago. The unemployment levels for local counties stayed the same from the month before. Daggett County unemployment is at 4.1 percent which is up from 3.7 percent one year ago. Duchesne County is at 2.8 percent which is down from 4 percent one year ago. Uintah County is at 3.3 percent which is down from 4.7 percent one year ago. Nationally unemployment is at 3.5 percent which is down from 4.7 percent one year ago.
