The Department of Workforce Services released updated data and analysis on Friday. Utah has added a cumulative 56,100 jobs to the economy since September 2021 with the current job count at 1,681,300. The nonfarm employment in Utah’s Counties reports that Daggett County employment is at 508 which is up from 491 one year ago; Duchesne County employment is at 8,229 which is up from 7,861 one year ago; And Uintah County employment is at 13,647 which is up from 12,900 one year ago. “The calendar has moved us into the fall months and the Utah economy continues to produce strong economic numbers” shares DWS Chief Economist Mark Knold. “Job growth remains above the state’s long-term average, and the unemployment rate endures in the historically-low range. Job opportunities remain strong.” Unemployment by County will be released this week.
