The only thing you need in order to enjoy this year’s Great Jensen Pumpkin Festival is your imagination. ‘Imagine That!’ is the theme for this year’s festivities and families and individuals are urged to get started on their pumpkin displays right away. This family favorite tradition started in 1996 when the folks of the Split Mountain Garden Center brought together friends and family to have a bonfire and share some apple cider. There were around 250 people who attended that first year which is amazing to think of when you consider the Festival now draws thousands every year. There will be the epic pumpkin displays, of course, food to eat, live music, a bonfire, and activities. While the event is free there is a $3 parking fee with all proceeds being donated to local charities. Plan to visit the Jensen Park for this year’s Great Jensen Pumpkin Festival from 6pm to 9pm on October 29th.
