Nationally, 72% of Americans believe global warming is happening. But when public opinion researchers zoom in on Americans, they find that attitudes and opinions about climate change can vary drastically from county to county—even when those counties are next door.

Stacker compiled a list of all the counties in Utah and how they are ranked according to most concerned about climate change. It used the data from the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication. Counties are ranked by the percent of residents that are worried about global warming. Coming in at 23rd out of 29 is Duchesne County with 50.7% worried about global warming, which is 8.3% lower than Utah’s average. Uintah County comes in at 20th place with 52.9% worried about global warming (6.1% lower than the Utah average). Daggett County is at 12th place with 54.3% worried about global warming and Salt Lake County is number 1 with 70.2% worried about global warming (that is 11.2% higher than Utah average).
