The vacant Duchesne County Commission and Duchesne County Assessor positions have
been filled. On Monday, the Duchesne County Commission approved the names
presented to them by the Duchesne County Republican Party Committee, Tracy Killian as
Commissioner and Traci Herrera as Assessor.
“We met as a county republican central committee Saturday morning,” shares Republican Party Chairman Kyle Snow. “There were two candidates that expressed interest in the position of Commissioner (Tracy Killian and Tom Rather). Tracy Killian received unanimous support to begin his service early.”
As the only applicant for Assessor, Traci Herrera was selected as the replacement.
“She has been the Chief Deputy for many years and worked in the Assessor’s Office for
more than 20 years,” shares Snow. Both Killian and Herrera will be sworn in in 2 weeks.
