If you love patriotic music and events honoring service members, there is a celebration concert Saturday night you won’t want to miss! Newstalk 104.5 FM and AM 920 KVEL is celebrating 75 years of serving the Uintah Basin by hosting an epic patriotic concert at the Western Park Amphitheater featuring legendary songwriter and vocal artist Lee Greenwood. Greenwood wrote the beloved stand-out hit “God Bless The U.S.A.” on his tour bus in 1983 and has been inspiring Americans with it ever since. The song has been in the top five on the country singles charts three times, giving it the distinction of being the only song in any genre of music to accomplish such a feat. The evening will begin with a patriotic program paying tribute to service men and women past and present as well as to the first responders that serve our community. The program will include the raising of the 70 foot American flag above the stage by Panhandle Oilfield Services during the singing of the National Anthem after which Lee Greenwood will take the stage. This is a patriotic event and all are encouraged to come. Tickets for reserved seating and general admission can be purchased by clicking here: https://disciplelive.ticketspice.com/lee-greenwood-vernal.  There will be a special gift for the first 75 people to arrive as part of the 75 year anniversary celebration of KVEL. For General Admission be sure to bring your lawn chairs and be ready for an amazing patriotic evening, fireworks included!
