The town of Rangely, Colorado has determined that spraying for mosquitos is required for public health reasons. According to the announcement, the chemicals that are to be used are approved for mosquitos and fly control and will be used at the maximum allowable rate on the label and applied in accordance to the label instructions. Exact time of aerial spray will be dependent on weather conditions. If there are any Rangely residents that need to know the day of spraying due to health concerns, they should call 970-675-8476. That will put your name on a list in which town staff will contact those individuals the day before spraying is scheduled. The town is planning to do the mosquito abatement aerial spraying over the four days of Thursday, August 25th through Sunday, August 28th. Spraying will be either early morning or late evening.
