Dean Calvin Bagley was born on May 4, 1933 in St. Anthony, ID to Earl Emanuel Bagley and Alice Marie Bird (Bagley). He died on May 19, 2019 in American Fork, UT.
Dean graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1952, served in the United States Navy as an Electronics Technician from 1953-1957, and served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Western Canadian Mission from 1957-1959.
Dean married Coene Larson on July 8, 1960 in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple. They settled in the Utah Uintah Basin in 1969 and Dean lived his final 29 years in Lapoint, UT.
As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dean served in numerous church callings, but his favorite callings were Teaching Sunday School, Teaching Aaronic Priesthood, and serving as a Scoutmaster. He was an Eagle Scout and was honored with The Silver Beaver Award. His hobbies included playing the violin, gardening, and working on automobiles.
Dean is survived by his wife, Coene Larson (Bagley), and their nine children: Cynthia Bagley, September Gardner (Bagley), Belinda Bagley, Kathryn Van Wagoner (Bagley), Edwin Bagley, Jefferson Bagley, Calvin Bagley, Benjamin Bagley, and Uvene Bagley.
He was also survived by 27 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 4 siblings.
Memorial services for Dean Calvin Bagley, age 86, of Lapoint will be held Saturday June 1, 2019 at the Lapoint LDS Chapel (6877 North 10600 East in Lapoint, Utah) at 11AM. A visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8PM at the Church. Interment will be in the Lapoint Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 11. Services have been entrusted to the care of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
