Traffic was slow moving on SR-191 on Wednesday after an accident resulted in a hazardous spill. According to Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Todd Royce, a semi hauling 12 containers of potassium hydroxide overturned in the southbound lane at mile post 369 just after 11am. Ten of the 12 containers cracked open causing a spill on the highway. Not a lot spilled, explains Lt. Royce, but because it is considered a hazardous material, Enviro Care, Inc. from Salt Lake was called in for clean up. The highway was closed for a short time while uprighting the semi but aside from that the north and southbound lanes took turns traveling until cleanup was complete Wednesday evening. The driver of the semi was uninjured.
