Tips During the Season of High Fire Danger

Fire danger continues to be high. Officials remind recreators that propane stoves can be used by dispersed campers as an alternative to campfires to reduce the risk of sparking a wildfire and to remember to have a bucket and shovel with you, as you cut your firewood this summer. Don’t park in tall dry grass as hot vehicles can potentially start a wildfire and if you are target practicing please carry a shovel and a bucket and monitor your backstop area to ensure a fire is not sparked by your bullets. Above all, everyone is urged to use common sense, extreme caution, and follow any fire restrictions of the land you are recreating on.
