Duchesne County Road Crews Working Hard on Roads Damaged by Flooding

Road crews are working hard in Duchesne County to clean up the aftermath of Wednesday’s storm. According to the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, Lower Red Creek Road, Sam’s Wash Road, and Strawberry River Road near Freedom Bridge remain closed due to issues including standing water, debris flows, and possible road damage. “Everyone in these areas is safe and accounted for based on information available at this time,” shared the Sheriff’s Office on Thursday. “There is no access to Camelot Resort…It could take days to reopen this area. Crews are working diligently to clear roads, assess conditions all along the Strawberry River drainage, and make repairs as needed and where it is safe to do so.” Duchesne County has not given an estimate as to when roads will reopen though they expect it to take days to complete the work needed. Do not enter any closed areas for your own safety and to allow crews to work unimpeded.
