September 11th, 2001 is a day most people will never forget. It is a day many locals reflect on each year, remembering where they were and how they felt as the twin towers in New York City crumbled to the ground as a result of terrorist attack. Scott Adams, local Director of Gold Cross Ambulance, was living in New Zealand at the time and learned America was being bombed by concerned neighbors telling him America was under attack. “I remember feeling sadness for all the families that instantly lost loves ones in a senseless act of terrorism,” shares Adams. “I reflected on the first responders, their selfless courage to serve the public in need regardless of the cost. May we NEVER FORGET,” he concludes. Uintah County Fire Marshal Jeremy Raymond is also passionate about remembering the events of 9/11. “We must never forget those who died that day,” shares Raymond. “The first responders who gave their lives protecting others, and the many men and women in buildings or planes that perished. I hope we can take a few seconds on this patriot day and have a moment of silence and prayer to reflect on those lives lost,” he continues. “I will never forget the 343 firefighters who gave the ultimate sacrifice. God Bless the USA.”
