Duchesne County Making Plans for New Library in Roosevelt

by | Sep 20, 2018 | News | 0 comments

The Roosevelt Branch Library took to Facebook with some exciting news on Wednesday announcing that Duchesne County is moving forward with building a larger library in Roosevelt. The library staff has been pushing this for over 5 years and now that the ball is rolling, they want to see this dream become a reality and are asking for community support. As the next step, two public meetings have been scheduled to gather input. “We need everyone who wants a bigger library to attend and speak up,” shares the library’s announcement. “There are going to be people saying that libraries are outdated book warehouses that can be replaced by an Amazon Prime membership and a tablet. We need people who will be willing to stand up and explain just how wrong that is.” The Roosevelt Branch Library has definitely outgrown its location with many events having to be held at larger locations to accommodate the impressive participation. The public meetings will be held
October 25th
and
November 8th
at the Crossroads Senior Center. Both meetings
start at 7:00pm
and all are invited to attend.
