A Roosevelt man died on Tuesday in a service rig accident in Duchesne County. According to the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, emergency personnel were called
at about 8:00am
to a service rig near
750 North 3000 West.
“When deputies arrived, they learned crews from an oilfield service company were working to move a heavy, metal floor from one rig to another,” shares the release. “During the move, a section of the floor fell on Andrew Romero.” 40-year-old Romero was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was transported to the Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy. The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating.
