Saturday morning
was an exciting time for 96 kids in Vernal. Breakfast followed by lights and sirens, Santa, and shopping for toys! Sounds like another successful Shop With A Cop event. The Elks Lodge hosted breakfast this year for the event that aims to give kids a positive interaction with law enforcement. Following breakfast, the group of excited kids rode with local officers in full lights and sirens to the Walmart parking lot where they waited for Santa to arrive by helicopter! After the big man in red landed it was time to head inside and, you guessed it, Shop With A Cop! It was a joyful event for all involved.
