Uintah Basin Healthcare is getting ready to have a ribbon cutting to reveal their new mammography machine. General Electric (GE) has provided details on their machine, the Senographe Pristina with Dueta patient-assisted compression. The machine was designed and built by partnering with radiologists, technologists and most importantly, patients, to create a mammography patient centered experience that delivers superior diagnostic accuracy for the detection of breast cancer. The images are 3D quality with the same dose as a standard 2D mammography. The patient-assisted compression device is an industry first. It gives patients control, under the radiographer’s supervision and guidance, to determine the level of breast compression, with the help of a remote control. The ribbon cutting for Uintah Basin Healthcare is
on Wednesday, January 23rd, at 11am
at the Women’s Healthcare Center in Roosevelt.
