The Duchesne County Republican Party shared a list of those who sent letters of interest for the open County Commission Seat C. As of last week, the list of candidates included the following names: Rod Harrison, Kent Petross, Mark Murray, Kent Olsen, Patricia Barton, Todd Anfinson, Gordon Snow, Luke Stradinger, Jerry Nelson, Wayne Robb, Irene Hansen, Paul Spencer, and Mondi Taylor. In early January, Duchesne County Commissioner Ronald Winterton announced his resignation after he was advised by the Senate Legal Council that he did not have their blessing to continue serving as County Commissioner while representing District 26 in the Utah Senate. The Duchesne County Republican Central Committee is now responsible for selecting a replacement to fill the vacancy. Letters of interest from Registered Republicans were accepted from January 22nd through the 28th. The selection has not yet been announced.
