It was an excellent night of good food, great company, and excellent speakers at the 70th Annual Vernal Chamber of Commerce Meeting
on Thursday night
at the Uintah Conference Center. The baton of President Michael Fossett will be passed to President elect Signey Smith. Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox spoke to the attendees which was a special treat as he very recently announced his intention to run for Utah Governor 2020. Awards were given: The Environmental, Health & Safety Award was given to the USU Bingham Research Center Air Quality Program. CIVCO Engineering was named the Service Business of the Year, IFA – Agricultural Business of the Year, Uintah County Golden Age Center – Government Business of the Year, Andeavor – Manufacturing/Industry Business of the Year, and Lowes of Vernal – Retail/Wholesale Business of the Year. The Lifetime Achievement Award was given to the Daughters of Utah Pioneers-Uintah Company and Robin O’Driscoll was named the Total Citizen of the Year. It was a wonderful night celebrating those who contribute so much to the community’s success.
