Margaret J. Wheatley once said that “there is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about.” The 2nd annual Uintah Basin Community Matters conference is a chance for the community to gather together and discuss what is needed for the betterment of its residents. This year there will be a variety of workshop sessions that will focus on the issues the community is facing and what we can do about them. Some of the presenters include Doctor Hank Smith, Clint Pulver, Michelle Porcelli, and Ryan Stream just to name a few. There will be informational booths starting at 5pm in the high school’s commons area. This is a free event for those that are 5 or older. Come to Union High School auditorium on Wednesday, November 6th from 6pm to 8:45pm.
