Uintah Basin Healthcare takes golfing for a cause to a whole other level. Their annual golf classic was held on Friday, June 1st at the Roosevelt Golf Course a total of around 300 people participating. Brody’s Fund, a charity established in 2013 under Uintah Basin Medical Center’s 501C-3, is the recipient of the fundraiser each year. UBH Director of Marketing explains that Brody’s Fund was the idea of Kelly and Sue Crozier whose grandson Brody was stillborn. “This fund is now providing financial assistance for funeral and medical costs to help those who experience such a loss,” shares Zobell. “Our hope is that by providing financial relief through Brody’s Fund, families are able to grieve without the added financial stress. Brody’s family took their pain and presented an idea that continues to lift others burdens while honoring Brody.” The UBH Golf Classic was the fundraiser’s biggest year yet, raising nearly $24,000 dollars for Brody’s Fund. The fund has assisted over 20 families in the community so far.
