The Uintah Conference Center filled up yesterday and will again today for the 2024
Uintah Basin Energy Summit. Among Wednesday’s presentations, a panel of industry
leaders had a discussion on overcoming current challenges and constraints. Rikki
Hrenko-Browning, President of the Utah Petroleum Association, led the panel discussion
that included leaders from XCL Resources, Uinta Wax, Javelin and more. When asked
about the challenges, the leaders brought up topics surrounding Natural Gas Liquids
takeaway and recovery but there was also an emphasis on efforts among the companies to
collaborate. While each finds ways to innovate, the power of reaching out and coming
together to leverage ideas was brought up as a great thing. Presentations focused on
energy topics lasted throughout the day. Uintah County Economic Development Director
Travis Campbell said this year’s Energy Summit has welcomed over 550 attendees. The
presentations continue with a full agenda today.
