If you’re bored this weekend it’s your own fault. Among the events and celebrations happening throughout northeastern Utah, the 2023 Northern Ute 4th Of July Pow Wow Celebration is happening in Ft. Duchesne this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The Grand Entry times are 7pm on Friday, 1pm and 7pm on Saturday, and 1pm and 7pm on Sunday. The Host Drum is Wooden Face from Canada and Blazing Bear from Oklahoma. The drum contests have cash prizes up to $10,000 dollars. There are also smaller cash prizes for the dance contests. The Pow Wow includes special activities, including a backup singing contest, Miss 4th of July Princess, open games, a fun run/walk, and more. The parade is Saturday at 10am at the Pow Wow grounds.
