Good weather and a great variety of activities made for a successful Holly Days celebration on Friday in Vernal. “Holly Days was a huge success,” shares Vernal City Manager Quinn Bennion. “The number of activities offered was the biggest yet at a Holly Day event. An estimated 10,000 people walked the streets of downtown Vernal during this year’s event making it the largest single day community event of the year. Several new events were added this year with the incredible sponsor response from the local businesses.” In its second year, the Ashley Regional Christmas Village was a fun addition and ending the night with the Parade of Lights, a fire show and fireworks kept the crowd entertained. “The organizing committee received lots of positive comments about this year’s event,” continues Bennion. “Keeping with tradition, the holly days events, prizes and food are provided at no cost so all families can participate.” This was the 19th year for the popular community event.
