If the 2020 Trees For Charity Auction Gala had raised significantly less funds than past years everyone would understand as it has been a tough year for everyone but that’s not even close to what happened. Monday’s event at the Uintah Conference Center was an evening of generosity with all in attendance feeling the Christmas spirit. The night’s estimated total for the tree auction reached an amazing $210,000 dollars and there are many more donations not yet added. Last year had been a record breaking year coming to a total of $285,000 shared between 41 trees. This year’s Trees For Charity event had 34 trees, showing just how generous this year’s bidders proved to be. Thrilled by this year’s success, 2020 event chairman Jessie Barton says that the event committee, foundation, and Vernal Chamber offer their thanks to the donors for“putting a glow in the hearts of the people whom these charities benefit. Your generosity, creativity, gifts, donations and participation make this possible,” shares Barton. “The committee members are proud to work with you and through you and thank you for your demonstration of peace and joy for this special season. Thank you!” The grand total for the 2020 Trees For Charity will be announced in the coming days.
