Roosevelt City wants the public to be informed and has shared the 2020 fireworks sales and discharge dates. Class “C” fireworks can be sold June 24th through July 25th, December 29th through December 31st, and two days before and on Chinese New Year’s Eve. Fireworks can be discharged between the hours of 11am and 11pm from July 2nd through the 5th, July 22nd through the 25th, December 31st, and Chinese New Year. July 4th and 24th extends those hours to midnight and new Year’s Eve and Chinese New Year’s Eve extends those hours to 1am. Roosevelt City also shared that there are no location restrictions on fireworks in Roosevelt City for the Fourth of July holiday, however, they ask all residents to use caution and common sense when lighting fireworks. “Do not light fireworks in open fields, near any dry grass or dead weeds, or in any other area where fire is a risk,” shares Roosevelt City. “Fireworks are safest when used on a flat, inflammable surface such as concrete, asphalt, bare sand, or stone.”
