A fantastic lineup of speakers is in store for the 2018 Community Volunteer Conference coming up next month. This is the 5th year for the annual event that is dedicated to educating local disaster service volunteers as well as those interested in getting involved as a volunteer. The speakers include Seth Gardner, Director for the North Central Division of the American Red Cross, Richard Armstrong, spokesman for the LDS Church as liaison with government entities regarding emergency communications, and Mike Lefler, Duchesne County Fire Marshal and Emergency Manager. The conference is taking place September 15th at the Uintah Conference Center from 8:30am to 1:00pm. The event is free and includes a light breakfast and box lunch but all attendees must RSVP.
