A crash on Highway 40 near Strawberry Reservoir sent 2 people to the hospital on Sunday. According to Utah Highway Patrol, the accident took place at 12:15 pm when a vehicle pulled in front of a semi. The empty tanker was traveling eastbound on Highway 40 when a motorhome pulling a boat pulled in front of it from Strawberry Road attempting to head westbound on Highway 40.
The driver of the tanker was shook up but had no major injuries. The motorhome driver was transported to a hospital by ambulance with minor injuries and the passenger of the motorhome was flown by helicopter to a hospital in critical condition.
Highway 40 had a full closure for a brief time while tow trucks moved the accident from the roadway and then traffic experienced delays in that area for several more hours during cleanup.
