The Lady Cougar Softball team headed to Kamas the home of South Summit to take on Emery last Saturday  to start their State 3A tournament run. Marleigh Horrocks smacked a home run and a double, and Ally Rook gave up only three hits in the 11-2 Lady Cougz victory. The Lady Cougar Softball team visited Uintah Wednesday Brindy Bartlett hit a two run homer and Mesa Nielson also homered and the Lady Cougz put on a strong finish that ended just short in the 8-6 loss. The Cougz finished second in Region 14 and will also be heading to the 3A State Tournament. They will head to Kamas the home of South Summit to take on Emery on Saturday at 11am.

The Lady Cougar Softball team will also be heading to the 3A State Tournament.  For final seeding they have to wait for the results of the game between current number 1 Juab and number 3, Carbon. The Lady Cougs finish 8 and 2 in Region 14 play, with a Juab loss, they will end in a tie and a flip of a coin will determine their fate. If they finish first they will host the first round in Roosevelt taking on Grand County. Finishing second will head them to Kamas the home of South Summit to take on Emery.

The Lady Cougar Softball team mercy ruled American Leadership Monday 15-0, then hosted Manti Wednesday losing 7-6, Thursday they traveled to Carbon, Marleigh Horrocks hit two home runs and a double  and Ally Rook pitched for the 15-3 Lady Coug victory.  They hosted Delta Friday, Marleigh Horrocks and Megan Foote each doubled as the Lady Cougz scored 6 runs in the first inning and didn't look back beating the Lady Rabbits 12-0.  Madi Hadlock pitched for the win.

The Lady Cougar Softball team hosted Carbon Tuesday. A pitcher's duel for the first 5 innings until the Union half of the fifth when the Cougars broke through with a run to take the lead. The Lady Dinos countered in the top of the 6th with 3 runs then added another in the seventh. Down 4-1 going into the bottom of the seventh, the Lady Cougz put together a rally to come back and tie the game at 4 and send the game to extra innings. Ally Rook kept the Dinos scoreless in the 8th and the Cougz scored a run in the bottom half to take the 5-4 victory. Marleigh Horrocks hit a home run in the win. The Lady Cougar Softball team also headed to St. George for the March Warm-up. Playing five games, the Lady Cougs lost to Stansbury, Lake City, Idaho, Springville and Davis some tough teams, then finished up the event with a big 13-3 victory over Cedar. They headed to Jordan Wednesday taking and blanked the 5A Lady Beetdiggers 19-0.They're at Juab Tuesday, host South Summit Wednesday then visit Delta Friday

The Lady Cougz Softball team also headed to the Spanish Fork Complex Thursday to face the Juab Lady Wasps in the one-loss bracket.  Madi Hadlock and Kamrynh Labrum were the only Lady Cougz that could muster a hit against the Juab pitcher in the 9-0 Cougar loss. Congrats go to the Cougar baseball and softball teams for making it to state this year.

The Lady Cougz Softball team also finished headed to Bear River to take on the Lady Bears. Chloe Hyder, Delci Lamb, Madi Hadlock and Kamryn Labrum all had singles, but the Cougz couldn't get anyone across the plate, losing to the Bears 7-0.  In the one loss bracket they faced Snow Canyon. Madison Hadlock hit a triple and a double and Madi Bostick went 4 for 5 with two doubles and pitched for the win in the 14-9 win over the Lady Warriors. The Lady Cougz will also head to the Spanish Fork Complex Thursday to face the loser between Ridgeline and Juab.

The Lady Cougz Softball team also finished in fourth andhave a similar schedule heading to Bear River to take on the Lady Bears at 10 o'clock.  A win sets them up for a game on Thursday the 18th with the winner between North Sanpete and Snow Canyon.  With a loss, they will remain in Bear River to battle with the loser of thosetwo teams.

They traveled to Tooele Thursday Mesa Nielsen and Kamryn Labrum each doubled and Madi Bostick only gave up three hits, but the Cougs had a hard time scoring runs in the close 4-3 Cougar loss. They will visit Park City Friday. Union is 3 and 4 in Region play and should finish tied for third place in Region 10.

Madi Bostick went 2 for 3 with a double, but the Cougz could get anyone across the plate in the 8-0 loss to the Lady Cowboys. The Lady Cougz are 3 and 2 in Region 10 and currently in second place. They will host Stansbury Tuesday travel Tooele Thursday and visit Park City Friday.

The Lady Cougar Softball team hosted 5A school Jordan Wednesday in a non-region game, Madi Bostick went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs while pitching a 1 hit shut-out as the Lady Cougz blanked the Lady Beetdiggers 8-0. Mesa Nielsen also went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI in the win.  They'll travel to Grantsville Friday in a battle for number one in Region 10.
