The Union High Football team continued their State 3A Championship Tournament run last Friday heading to Mount Pleasant to take on the North Sanpete Hawks. It was a nail biter with the Union High Football team hosting the Manti Templars to kick off the State 3A Championship Tournament. The Templars scored first with a touchdown in the second quarter, but the Cougars immediately responded with a 7-yard touchdown run by Mason Eldredge to tie the game. Then the defenses on both teams held throughout regulation, then through the first overtime. Going into the second overtime, the Templars scored, then kicked the point after. The Cougars responded with another touchdown run by Eldredge, instead of kicking to tie the game, the Cougs went for the two point conversion. Easton Rohrer caught the pass from Nate Foote to give the Cougars the 15-14 victory. The Cougars will travel to Mount Pleasant Friday the 26th to take on the North Sanpete Hawks. Good luck Cougars!
The Union Cougar Football team hosted the Morgan Trojans Friday. Morgan took off to the early lead, and the Cougars could only manage a touchdown in the last quarter to lose to the Trojans 32 - 6. The Cougars will start the first round of the 3A state tournament hosting Manti at 4 o'clock on Thursday.

In the second half Rayden Deets had a 52 and a 32 yard touchdown runs, as the Union defense kept the Dinos off the board in the 35-0 route. The Cougs are at Grantsville Friday.

The Cougars put 20 points on the board to take the half time lead, with Lincoln Labrum passing for two touchdown passes, a 25 yard pass to Chase Birchel and a 13 yard pass to Nate Foote, Kobe Gurr blocked a kick in the end zone for the other Union score. The Bruins, however, came back in the second half to beat the Cougars 41 to 20. They'll host Carbon on Friday.

Labrum then punched one across from the 1 in the second quarter, then with time running down in the game Labrum ran a 94 yard touchdown to seal the 21-0 victory for the Cougars. Lincoln Labrum threw two touchdown passes, one to Easton Rohrer and another to Caden Hyder, but Summit Academy pulled away in the second quarter to beat the Cougars 43-16. They travel to North Sanpete to take on the Hawks Friday then visit rival Uintah next Friday for the Basin Bowl bragging rights.

The Union Cougars took on the Emery Spartans for their last home game of the season. This was Unions Senior Night the seniors this year were Kade Allred, Chase Berlin, Jordan Bertoch, Brock Brinkerhoff, Mathew Doesburg, Garrett Harding, Hunter Hyder, Brock Labrum, Chase Laing, Jarom Miller, Reno Nelson, Evan Percival, Gage Roberts, and Nick Valdez. In the first quarter Emery scored first putting 7 points on the board Chase Laing put up a field goal to put the Cougars on the board. In the second quarter the Cougars put up 26 points compared to the Spartans 7. This made the score at half time Union 29 - Emery 14. In the second half the Cougars offense scored 23 more points and Unions defense left the Spartans scoreless in the second half. The final score was Union 52 - Emery 14.Read More

The Union Cougar Football team took on the Judge Memorial Bulldogs on Friday, September 29th. The scoreboard lit up early with the Cougars scoring on a touchdown run from Lincoln Labrum. On the next drive Union’s Chase Laing kicked a 43 yard field goal. Union’s defense scored two points with a safety. The score at halftime was Union 26 - Judge Memorial 12. Union kept going in the second half adding four more touchdowns to win the game Union 53 - Judge Memorial 24. Six Union players scored in this game. Lincoln Labrum scored two rushing touchdowns. Chase Birchell, Hyrum Morley, and Jarom Miller all scored one rushing touchdown. Nate Foote and Gage Roberts scored on two touchdown passes by Lincoln Labrum. Chase Laing made a 43 yard field goal. The Union Football team traveled to Price to take on the Carbon Dinos. After a back and forth first half tied at 13, the Cougars broke it open in the second half to take the 33-20 victory. Lincoln Labrum ran for a touchdown and had TD passes to Chase Birchell and Gage Roberts in the victory. They will host Grantsville this Friday.
