The Lady Ute Volleyball team traveled to the Utah Valley University UCCU center Wednesday for the 4A state championships.  The Lady Utes finished fourth in Region 10 and faced the number 1 seed from Region 12 Skyview out of Smithfield.  The Lady Utes lost to the Lady Bobcats in straight sets 3-0. This put them in the Consolation Bracket to face the Stansbury Lady Stallions. The Utes easily took the first set 25-9, then the Stallions buckled down to make the second set close 29-27, then beat the Utes in the third set 20-25, but the Utes rallied back to take the fourth set 25-17. The Utes will face the Juan Diego Soaring Eagles out of Draper at 9 o'clock Thursday morning for the right to take on the winner between Mountain View and Lehi.

The Lady Ute Volleyball team hosted Orem last Tuesday, easily handling the Lady Tigers in straight sets 3-0. They traveled to Salem Hills Thursday losing 3 sets to 1 to the Sky Hawks

the visit Salem Hills Thursday. They played 5 matches at the Rocky Mountain Champions Classic on Saturday, winning the first four 2 sets to 0 against Herriman, Stansbury, West Jordan and Northridge, then lost 2-0 to Woods Cross in the last match. Great job Lady Utes!

The Lady Ute Volleyball team traveled to the Hunter Tournament last weekend playing nine games including four tough 5A schools such as Hunter, West Jordan and Taylorsville. The Utes only lost one set winning all of their matches for a great tournament.  They slipped a little at Payson losing 3-1 and lost 3-0 to Maple Mountain Thursday.  They're at Salem Hills Tuesday.
