The Uintah Ute Girls Basketball team traveled to St. George to take on the Desert Hills Thunder for the first round of the 4A State Tournament. Trailing by one at the half, the Utes made a comeback in the second half to beat the Lady Thunder 58-50. Kass Callahan kept the Utes in the lead during crunch time in the fourth quarter, by scoring all 10 of her points from the free-throw line. Sister Kooks Callahan lead all scorers with 16 points including two 3-point baskets. Madi Foster scored 12 with Camry Myers and Madie Luck each scoring 8 in the big Ute win. The Lady Utes will head back down South to Cedar City to the Centrum on the Southern Utah University campus for the quarter finals, taking on Region 11 number 1 seed Bonneville who narrowly escaped their first round with Sky View.Good Luck Utes!

The Uintah Ute Girls Basketball team traveled to Lehi Tuesday.  The Utes kept it close in the first quarter before the Lady Pioneers started pulling away to defeat the Utes 70-43. Madi Foster lead the Utes with 13 points with Kooks Callahan adding 9 points including a three-point basket in the Ute loss. The Utes host Salem Hills Tuesday then travel to Mountain View Friday.

The Uintah Ute Girls Basketball team hosted Spanish Fork last Tuesday, the Utes held the halftime lead, but the Dons reeled them in and took the lead down the stretch to barely defeat the Utes 48-45. Madi Foster scored 18 and Kooks Callahan 14 in the effort. The Utes then hosted Payson Friday. Kooks and Sister Kass combined for 43 points and four Utes were in double figures as the Lady Utes jumped off to the early lead and didn't let up for the 74-48 victory.They're at Lehi Tuesday

The Uintah Ute Girls Basketball team traveled to Springville last Thursday to take on the Lady Red Devils, Kass Callahan lead the Utes with 10 with sister Kooks scoring 9, but the Lady Red Devils slowly pulled away to defeat the Utes 45-32. They're at Union Wednesday, then host Carbon Thursday. The Lady Utes are 5 and 1 so far this year and are doing well in preparation for Region 10 play at the beginning of next year.

The Uintah Ute Girls Basketball team hosted the Shanon Johnson Classic last weekend. Thursday taking on North Sanpete, Kaitlyn "Kooks" Callahan got hot from outside nailing three 3-point buckets finishing with 18 points while sister Kass scored 10 as the Utes easily handled the Hawks 57-31. Friday they took on Mountain Crest, Kooks dominated once again scoring 24 points with Madi Foster adding 11 in the 60-44 win over the Lady Mustangs.Saturday, the Utes finished off the Classic facing Duchesne, Madi Foster lead the Utes with 14 and Kooks adding 9 as nine Utes scored in the 52-31 win.The Utes head south to take on Snow Canyon and Hurricane this weekend.

The Lady Ute basketball team hosted Salem Hills Tuesday. Kaidi Calder and Madie Luck each scored 9 points with Madi Foster adding 6, the Utes took the early lead, and stayed with the Sky Hawks in the first half.The Utes struggled in the second half as Salem Hills took off to take the win 74-41. The Lady Utes finished Region 10 in fifth place with a 4 and 8 record and just missed going to the state tournament.

The Ute Boy's basketball team also traveled to Payson Friday. Hunter Severe lead the Utes with 12 points but the Utes fell behind early and couldn't get the offense on track in the 65-40 loss.  They're also at Lehi Tuesday then host Salem Hills Friday to finish off region play. The Lady Ute basketball team also traveled to Salem Hills Friday.  Madi Foster scored 19 points to lead the Utes with Camry Myers scoring 9 points and Kassidy Callahan adding 6 as the Lady Utes game was similar to the Boys where the Sky Hawks jumped off to an early lead and the Utes just couldn't get on track losing to Salem Hills 85-42. Madi Foster led the Utes with 18 as the Utes dominated the fourth quarter to get the 56-43 victory over the Lady Lions. Friday the Ladies hosted Lehi . Again Madi Foster led the Utes with 8 points and Carley Lewis and Madie Luck each added 7 as the Utes fell behind in the first half and couldn't recover in the second in the 55-39 loss to the Lady Pioneers.  They're at Salem Hills Friday.

The Lady Ute basketball team also traveled to Mountain View last Friday to start their region play, Madi Foster scored 10 points with Kassidy Callahan scoring 8 and Taylee Ellison adding 7, but the Lady Utes fell behind early and couldn't slow down the Lady Bruin offense in the 75-42 loss. They'll host Orem Tuesday and travel to Spanish Fork Friday. 

The Lady Ute basketball team also host Orem Tuesday. The Lady Utes fell behind by 8 at the half, but started a second half rally, finishing off outscoring the Lady Tigers by 11 in the fourth quarter to take the 50-42 region victory. Kassidy Callahan led the Utes with 14 while Taylee Ellison scored 12 and Madi Foster 10 in the Ute win. They will also travel to Spanish Fork Friday.
