The Ute Baseball team swept the Scorpion Invitational tournament last weekend in Farmington, New Mexico, with wins over Los Lunas, New Mexico, Durango, Colorado andBelen, New Mexico. The Utes returned to host the Union Cougars Tuesday.The Utes were held scoreless through five innings, in the sixth, Kyler Murray singled, then three straight walks gave the Utes their first run. Kade Bailey then nailed a Home Run for a Grand slam to give the Utes the 5-0 victory.Kyler Murray pitched 5 shut-out innings and Brandon Slaugh completed the shut-out pitching the sixth and seventh innings. The Utes head to St. George for the Summit Athletic Club Invitational this weekend.

The Ute boys Soccer team hosted Payson Tuesday, Keneth Melendez, Caden Nerdin and Cameron Oaks each scored two goals in the Ute 8-0 victory.  The Utes visit last in the Region Spanish Fork Friday and should finish with a 10 and 2 record. Current number 1 Maple Mountain has a tester with Wasatch Thursday. If Wasatch and the Utes win There will be a 3-way tie at the top. The Utes will start 4A State play Wednesday May 17th.

The Ute Boy's Soccer team hosted Highland lastTuesday,  Goalie Devin Hill kept the ball out of the net, while Cameron Oaks scored the Utes goal in the 1-0 victory.  Friday they headed to the Saint George Tournament taking on the Cedar Redmen, Micheal Colton scored for the while once again Deven Hill preserved the shutout giving the Utes the 1-0 victory. Later on Friday they took on the Box Elder Bees.  Kenneth Melendez scored the goal for the Utes in another 1-0 victory. Saturday they took on 5A power house Fremont out of Plain City,  The Utes played well, but Fremont prevailed 5-0, the Utes are at Juan Diego Tuesday.
