The Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife 2020 banquet is coming up this weekend. The SFW has a mission to “promote the protection and enhancement of wildlife habitat, assist in providing quality wildlife management programs, educating the public about the role hunters play in wildlife conservation, and perpetuating the family tradition of hunting and fishing.” SFW is made up of nearly 8,000 sportsmen and women, everyone from average hunters and influential celebrities to wildlife experts, firearm and ammunition manufacturers, taxidermists, guides and outfitters, working together to create a future for wildlife and for hunters. The organization has purchased and treated thousand of acres of critical deer and elk winter habitat, helped rehabilitate over 1.5 million acres of public land in Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming, and have helped transplant buffalo, bighorn sheep, elk, turkey, and mule deer interstate and in-state. The 2020 Uintah Basin Banquet features a permit auction, dinner, and drawings. The banquet will be Saturday, January 18th at the Uintah Conference Center. Doors open at 5pm with dinner at 6:30pm and then an auction at 8pm. To view the ticket packages, visit https://sfw.net/2020-uintah-basin-banquet/ .
