The
Uintah Ute Girls Basketball team
started
their run at the 4A state title defeating
the Stansbury Stallions Wednesday 38-23.
Jordan Woodford led the Utes with 10 and Kyrsten Bake added 9 in the
win. They will advance to the second round heading to Ridgeline High
School playing a 4 o’clock Friday.

The
Uintah Ute Girls Basketball team
traveled
to Stansbury Tuesday. Nip and tuck in the first half as the Utes went
into the break trailing by one point. The second half, the Utes
offense kicked in along with the defense to beat the Stallions 54-42.
Kenna Gardiner had a great game scoring 24 points for the Utes
including four 3-point baskets, with Acy Cornpeach and Kyrsten Bake
each scoring 8.
Thursday they
hosted Tooele in a low scoring affair. The Utes owned the first half
with an 8 point lead at the break, then could only muster 6 points in
the second half as the Buffaloes came from behind to beat the Utes
23-21. Jordan Woodford led the Utes with 10.
The Lady Utes
finished in fourth place in Region 10.
