A Wasatch County man charged with child rape was in 8th District Court
on Tuesday
. A warrant for the arrest of 21-year-old Cabit Douglas Nye was issued on
August 2nd
and Nye was arrested in Duchesne County on August 29th. According to court documents, Nye’s charge of 1st Degree Rape of a Child stems from an event in 2014 when Nye, then 19-years-old, admitted to having sex with a 13-year-old girl in Uintah County. Nye remained in custody at the Uintah County Jail following his arrest three weeks ago.
On Tuesday
, bail was set at $10,000 dollars. Court records show that Nye posted bail through Sportsmans Bail Bond
