Utah Attorney General Offices Internet Safety Tips

As more and more crimes take place or gain validity utilizing the internet, the office of the Utah Attorney General reminds the public of internet safety measures. Be sure to share with care, there is no delete button to the internet. Take measures so that your internet connection is secure. Always keep your security software updated so that your computer is aware of the latest malware. Secure your accounts with unique and strong passwords and do not use the same password over and over. Do not turn off your privacy settings. Be careful what you download as cybercriminals use apps or links to try and steal your information. Always be cautious and sensible in all your online interactions. Do not be hesitant to consider parental controls.

Kristin never planned to work in news radio but has thoroughly enjoyed being part of the news team at KVEL. Her love of literature and writing developed in high school which led her to study English Literature and Technical Writing at BYU. She received her BA in English from BYU in 2005 and studied at UVU in Orem for 2 semesters to become a Certified Technical Writer in 2006.
