A Vernal man entered a guilty plea in 8th District Court this week to second-degree felony Forcible Sexual Abuse. The charge against 39-year-old Benjamin Lee Bardon states that the incident took place on or about April 8th, 2016, in Uintah County, and that the victim was “14 years of age or older”. In Bardon’s statement in advance of the plea deal it states that Bardon touched the victim while asleep and he reported the incident the next day to DCFS and law enforcement so he “could be held accountable for his action.” The court placed the plea in abeyance for 36 months and fined Bardon $1000 dollars.
