With the signing of a communications contract, Vernal City Police now has improved communication with state and national law enforcement. Vernal City Council approved the Utah Communications Authority Service Contract
on Wednesday
night that allows the police department to use an 800 MHZ radio for communication with the state and federal law enforcement. The radio communication will be used as an important resource for the Internet Crimes Against Children program, among other uses. The service rate for local government users is $23.25 per month and $28.00 for federal and state users.
