Vernal Area Parcels Get Highest Bids in BLM Oil and Gas Lease Sale

The Bureau of Land Management Utah quarterly oil and gas lease sale resulted in competitive bids for 11 parcels of land. The highest total bid per acre was $30 dollars submitted by Bro Energy LLC. of Salt Lake City for parcel 41 in the Vernal Field office area. The highest total bid per parcel was $41,800 dollars submitted by Wapiti Rocky Mountain LLC of Texas for parcel 33, also located in the Vernal field office area. The entire sale net nearly $186, 617 dollars. The quarterly oil and gas lease sales are aimed at keeping with the Trump Administration’s goal of promoting American energy independence. The BLM announcement explains that the oil and gas lease sales support domestic energy production and American energy independence and the BLM’s energy program takes an all-of-the-above approach that includes oil, gas, coal, minerals, and renewable resources, which can all be developed on public lands.
