Vernal 7-11 Convenience Store Robbed; Police Ask Public For Help

There were no injuries in a robbery in Vernal City early in the morning on Wednesday. According to Vernal Police, the robbery took place around 4:30am at the 7-11 convenience store on Highway 40 next to McDonalds on January 9th. “The suspect fled the scene within the 2 or 3 minute timeframe it took for officers to arrive,” shares Vernal Police. “Video footage from the store and the surrounding area shows a man wearing a bandana approaching the store, entering the store and demanding money and cigarettes, and leaving the store toward the north. The robbery yielded the offender a small amount of money and three cartons of cigarettes.” As of Wednesday evening, the suspect had not yet been apprehended. The public is asked to come forward with any information they may have by either calling 435-789-5835 or 435-789-4222.
